Yves Leccia YL Rosé Bio 2021

The color of YL Rosé is almost luminous, beautiful pale pink. The aroma is very gooey, with aromas of red fruits and white flowers. The taste is fresh, easily drinkable and is balanced with its light acidity. The perfect summer wine!
The grapes come from a place called Partinelone, where the terroir consists of clay-limestone soil on a slate base. The grapes are harvested by hand when they are healthy and ripe. The entire harvest is pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats after which the wine is aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
  • About Yves Leccia

As a 4th generation winemaker, it was very natural for Yves Leccia to go down this path as well. When he received his degree in oenology in 1980, Yves had to choose between returning to Corsica to work with his father or traveling the world. He made the choice to return to ile de beauté, the island of beauty, convinced that he would participate in its further development.

He put a lot of energy into developing the family estate while actively participating in the revival of the Corsican wine industry. Today, he remains president of UVA Corse and chairman of the Scientific and Technical Committee for Wine. At the same time, along with several other winemakers, he is at the forefront of the recognition of Corsican wines, especially in the French top gastronomy.

In 2004, Yves left the family estate to found Domaine Yves Leccia supported by his wife Sandrine, who also comes from a winemaking family but from Alsace. From 8 hectares in the beginning (6 hectares on E Croce and 2 hectares on Partinelone) a restructuring program, brought the area of the domain to 15 hectares of which now 9 hectares in total on Partinelone. They did this mainly based on the reintroduction of old grape varieties.

Domaine Yves LECCIA produces 2 different lines: AOC PATRIMONIO in white, rosé and red, as well as the Muscat AOC CAP CORSE. But they also produce a line of Vins de Pays, the Cuvée YL, which allows Yves to give assemblages free rein outside the strict framework of AOC legislation. In 2011, Yves and Sandrine released their first Cuvée Patrimoniale "Biancu Gentile," which has now become "L'Altru Biancu," and later followed by O Bà! and Biancu Marinú.
