Buying wine is really a lot of fun work. You are always looking for special wines and of course you frequently come into contact with the corresponding producers. All people with their own story and a clear vision of their work. It is literally a "heart and soul" business and to us the clean task to convey the fine work of our winemakers to you.

Of course, we taste all the wines extensively before adding them to our portfolio. And once that's done, the best part of the purchasing process is actually the tasting of the wines in combination with dishes. We have been doing this tasting together for about 25 years now and logically we have built up quite a framework of dishes to go with many of our wines.

And of course there are always new dishes being created in our PUUR ZEE kitchen by Imko and his right hand Denny Ranzijn to which we have to invent new wine-food combinations. In the description of many of our wines you will find some of those combinations and sometimes specific ingredients where a wine goes well with.
