Love for nature is a high priority for the Paolucci family. The whole family, from parents to children, uncle and even a cousin are involved in winemaking.
The current 3rd generation makes its own wine, but previous generations supplied their grapes to the cooperative. Nicoline and his spouse Serena make wines from the autochthonous grape varieties trebbiano, montepulciano and pecorino in a state-of-the-art manner. Of the latter, the variety was thought to have disappeared around 1900. But this is now the white variety with which the region is furious. The Venea vineyards stretch along 10 hectares in the area of Fossacesia near Chieti in Abruzzo.
