On the nose, this red Sancerre Terres Blanches has a pleasant fruitiness of blackcurrant and strawberry combined with a touch of fresh herbs and a milky sweetness. On the palate, the wine is supple and is enhanced by light lively tannins. In the finish, it has a woody and spicy tone.
The pinot noir grapes grow low to the ground on a clay-limestone soil. The grapes are picked by hand. Natural fermentation takes place using the naturally occurring yeasts on the skins. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally during 12 months of aging in oak barrels.
