Grand Chaille expresses itself perfectly and characteristically as Sancerre with fresh mineral chalk notes. It has fruit notes of green apple and lime combined with white blossom. On the palate, the wine is clean and elegant with a nice roundness.
The sauvignon grapes grow low to the ground on chalky soil. The grapes are hand and machine picked after which fermentation takes place in inox tanks. The wine is aged on lees with batonnage for 6 to 8 months. The clarification is made on a clay basis. The wine is lightly filtered just before bottling.
