Tenuta di Sesta Poggio d'Arna Toscana 2020

Born from a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this wine is aged for a year in French Allier barriques and in 15 hl Slavonian oak barrels; Deep ruby red in color, with vibrant purple reflections, the nose is intense with hints of red fruit and pleasant notes of spice. The palate is enveloping and structured, balanced by appropriate freshness and velvety tannins. A wine of high quality, which, thanks to the combination of French vines and the calcareous soil, offers you a special and original wine. New flavors, but always marked by the characterization of the Sesta area. Harmonious, soft and enveloping and structured flavors.

  • About Tenuta di Sesta

Since 1995, Tenuta di Sesta has been managed by Giovanni Ciacci, who is supported with the commercial and agronomic management by his children Andrea and Francesca.

Tenuta di Sesta is located in the southern part of the municipality of Montalcino, between Sant'Angelo in Colle and Castelnuovo dell'Abate, near the famous Romanesque Abbey of Sant'Antimo. The vineyards are south facing on a slope, going downhill from 400 to 200 meters above sea level. These lands are considered one of the most suitable areas for the production of Brunello di Montalcino, given their specific location: in fact, the vineyards in the North are sheltered from the cold Tramontana wind from Poggio d'Arna and enjoy the warm Maremma currents thanks to the proximity of Monte Amiata that favors a mild microclimate. Thanks to the enchanting location in Sesta, it is possible to enjoy the fruits of the earth well before other areas.
