Tenuta di Sesta Camponovo 2021

Young and fresh wine, with a strong character linked to the Ilcinese territory, born from the union of two local vines, 90% Sangiovese and 10% Colorino, the former giving the wine its character and the latter its deep ruby red color. In the nose it has aromas of red fruit and on the palate it is balanced and fresh. A very pleasant wine, it presents itself well for daily consumption because of its freshness and aroma. While being a pleasant and drinkable wine, it still retains the typical characteristics of the region from which it comes. It has a perfume of mineral and floral aromas, is harmonious with silky tannins and a clean finish.
  • About Tenuta di Sesta

Since 1995, Tenuta di Sesta has been run by Giovanni Ciacci, who is supported with the commercial and agronomic management by his children Andrea and Francesca.

Tenuta di Sesta is located in the southern part of the municipality of Montalcino, between Sant'Angelo in Colle and Castelnuovo dell'Abate, near the famous Romanesque Abbey of Sant'Antimo. The vineyards are south facing on a slope, going downhill from 400 to 200 meters above sea level. These lands are considered one of the most suitable areas for the production of Brunello di Montalcino, given their specific location: in fact, the vineyards in the North are sheltered from the cold Tramontana wind from Poggio d'Arna and enjoy the warm Maremma currents thanks to the proximity of Monte Amiata that favors a mild microclimate. Thanks to the enchanting location in Sesta, it is possible to enjoy the fruits of the earth well before other areas.
