Tenuta di Sesta Brunello di Montalcino 2018 - Magnum 1.5L

Combiningtradition and modern technologies, Brunello di Montalcino has always been a great wine, certainly important and very pleasant to drink: when young, it is rich with hints of fruit and flowers; mature, it acquires complex and heavenly characters, highlights a broad bouquet with sensations of oak. The wine has aruby color that tends to garnet with aging. It is intense, abundant, fine, with in the nose a bouquet of ripe red fruits and spices of tobacco and licorice. On the palate, the wine is warm, soft in flavor with velvety tannins. Balanced, very intense and persistent, fine and full-bodied. Pure Sangiovese grapes from a selection of only the best grapes from the vineyards of Tenuta di Sesta. The grapes undergo classic aging in wood of Slavonian oak for 30 months and 1 year aging in bottle.
  • About Tenuta di Sesta

Since 1995, Tenuta di Sesta has been run by Giovanni Ciacci, who is supported with the commercial and agronomic management by his children Andrea and Francesca.

Tenuta di Sesta is located in the southern part of the municipality of Montalcino, between Sant'Angelo in Colle and Castelnuovo dell'Abate, near the famous Romanesque Abbey of Sant'Antimo. The vineyards are south facing on a slope, going downhill from 400 to 200 meters above sea level. These lands are considered one of the most suitable areas for the production of Brunello di Montalcino, given their specific location: in fact, the vineyards in the North are sheltered from the cold Tramontana wind from Poggio d'Arna and enjoy the warm Maremma currents thanks to the proximity of Monte Amiata that favors a mild microclimate. Thanks to the enchanting location in Sesta, it is possible to enjoy the fruits of the earth well before other areas.
