About Finca Sophenia

Finca Sophenia is one of the best wine producers from Gualtallary, Tupungato, Mendoza, one of the most prestigious regions to produce high quality wines. Tupungato has an ideal microclimate for slow ripening of the grapes. The small terroir of Gualtallary, in turn, gives the wines one of the most unique profiles in Argentina and distinguishes them as one of the most mineral in the country. The combination of altitude, cold weather and sandy and stony soils results in ideal natural acidity. The result: intense and elegant wines that stand out for their good structure and unique tannic structure.

All grapes are grown on founder Roberto Luka's estate and the wines are produced and bottled in-house. They are praised worldwide by the press, including Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast and Wine & Spirits. The entire estate is in conversion to organic viticulture.
