Alvarinho Reserva is a very mineral and fresh wine, with excellent acidity. Very pure, with good structure, varietal, without tropical notes, very focused on the citrus side. It presents great complexity, where the fruity style stands out with some floral notes coming forward in a perfect combination. The wine is round, with volume on the palate and plenty of freshness and a long lingering finish. A wonderful glass of white, year after year. Drink with great pleasure!
It all began at Quinta do Regueiro in 1988, when the first 100% alvarinho vineyard, 0.3 hectares, was planted. The next 10 years were spent planting new plots up to 3 hectares. During that time, they produced some crops for their own consumption. In 1999, the Quinta do Regueiro brand was born, the first crop came on the market from the hand of the owners' son, Paolo Rodrigues Regueiro, then 23 years old. With enormous passion and dedication to the area, he fulfilled his dream of becoming a wine producer.
Today, Quinta do Regueiro consists of a series of small terraced plots with a subsoil of weathered granite that retains heat well. Their location is south-facing, allowing them to take full advantage of the sun's heat. They work with regional grapes here, but not with guidance along pergolas. The vines are planted in regular rows and guided along wire. This produces optimally ripe grapes that give the wines special power and plenty of character. The words "dedication" and "quality," year after year, are the keys to the prestige already achieved. Over the years, the Regueiro farm has had the ability to innovate, bringing new and successful wine profiles to the market.
