    Made from the oldest grapes on the property, elegant and subdued, but with nice depth. The wine has aromas of fresh citrus like tangerine and grapefruit, minerality, both in the nose and on the palate, full with a lingering finish.Only 2000 bottles of 'Barricas' are made and aged in oak barrels, as the name suggests

    • About the vineyard

      Quinta do Regueiro in Melgaço, Vinho Verde, epitomizes 21st century Portugal. Quality is at least as important to this company in the Minho Valley as tradition. It therefore works with regional grapes, but not with guidance along pergolas. The vines are planted in regular rows and guided along wire. This produces optimally ripe grapes that give the wines special power and plenty of character. The quinta's vineyards are on slopes with a subsoil of weathered granite that retains heat well. Their orientation is south-facing, allowing them to take maximum advantage of the sun's heat.
