Pratello Nero per Sempre Bio 2019

Nero per Sempre has a deep garnet red color with violet reflections. In the nose, it is an invasion of aromas of red ripe fruit and nutmeg followed by the feel of grapes, blackberries and plum jam. Everything is clean, everything is intact and no odor improperly invades the mouth that ends with an aroma of cherries, dark chocolate and rhubarb. In the mouth it has a unique delight, we find first of all the taste of the grape, then cherries, blackberries, berries with a slight arrogance and a final taste of sweetness. A strong balance, the integrity of the fruit comes out nicely. Very light and subtle scent of wood.

The rebo grapes come from moraine hills near Lake Garda, where they enjoy ideal exposure and constant ventilation that ensures perfect ripeness.After manual harvesting, the grapes are dried for 45 to 55 days. Maceration lasts 30 days. 50% of the wine is then poured into 20hl oak barrels, where they mature for 10 to 12 months. Finally, the wine rests in the bottle for another 12 months.

    Founded in 1860, Pratello is located on the southwest side of Lake Garda toward Brescia. Important to the Azienda is the handling of the environment, hence they have been making wines from organically grown grapes since 2004. Total vineyards and olive trees are grown organically. Having followed an organic path, Pratello has created a unique working protocol. Consciously interacting with nature not only by using natural products for the soil and in the cellar but also by respecting the biodiversity of the ecosystem. This is called the 'Pratello Idea'.

    In addition to diversity in the organically grown vineyard and BIO architecture, 'Pratello Idea' stands for: reducing the use of copper in the vineyard, the synergy between animals and plants and lowering the amounts of sulfite used.As owner Vicenzo Bertola himself points out: it was an inescapable choice suggested by our philosophy of life. Pratello produces a beautiful range of wines, focused on grapes typical of the area: rebo, manzoni, gropello and turbiana. Very convincing wines with expression and terroir. Winemaker Emiliano Rossi (Cá dei Frati) is highly regarded and experiments with new winemaking techniques combined with the use of natural yeasts.
