Pratello Lugana 90+10 'Il Rivale' Bio 2020

The color of Lugana 90 + 10 is golden yellow with pale green. In the nose, it offers a floral sensation of white rose, herbs and mainly juniper berries. The intensity of the perfumes comes from the perfect ripening of the grapes in the vineyard. On the palate, it is a silky and elegant wine with maximum balance between flavor and acidity. They dominate the flavors of peach, golden apple and Poire Williams.
The Turbiana grapes come from Moraine hills near Lake Garda, where they enjoy ideal exposure and constant ventilation that ensures perfect ripeness. 10% of the wine consists of local grapes collected from the Lugana wine region. The harvest is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a refined portion in barriques for 10 days. The wine matures for 3 months in stainless steel tanks and then rests in bottle for a further 3 months.
  • About Pratello

    Founded in 1860, Pratello is located on the southwest side of Lake Garda toward Brescia. Important to the Azienda is the handling of the environment, hence they have been making wines from organically grown grapes since 2004. Total vineyards and olive trees are grown organically. Having followed an organic path, Pratello has created a unique working protocol. Consciously interacting with nature, not only by using natural products for the soil and in the cellar but also by respecting the biodiversity of the ecosystem. This is called the 'Pratello Idea'.

    In addition to diversity in the organically grown vineyard and BIO architecture, 'Pratello Idea' stands for: reducing the use of copper in the vineyard, the synergy between animals and plants and lowering the amounts of sulfite used.As owner Vicenzo Bertola himself points out: it was an inescapable choice suggested by our philosophy of life. Pratello produces a beautiful range of wines, focused on grapes typical of the area: rebo, manzoni, gropello and turbiana. Very convincing wines with expression and terroir. Winemaker Emiliano Rossi (Cá dei Frati) is highly regarded and experiments with new winemaking techniques combined with the use of natural yeasts.
