Pratello Lieti Conversari Bio 2020

Lieti Conversari has a golden yellow color and is very bright. The nose is a symphony of scents, clean and undamaged: honey, rose hip, cinnamon, nutmeg and black elderberry are dominant aromas of this wine. The finish is spicy with chestnut and tobacco leaf combined with a fresh impact and a touch of sweet mineral that rises nicely to the nose. On the palate, the wine is like a silk cloth, cool and pleasant. It grabs the mouth with sensations of ripe grapes and Tunisian mango. Round with a strong balance (sweet, sour, salty and bitter). The integrity of the grape gives a strange feeling but is in great harmony. Wine with an important matrix.
Manzoni Bianco is the most successful cross made by Professor Manzoni during a series of tests between 1930 and 1935. From the mother grapes Pinot Bianco and Riesling, this grape inherited its adaptation for different soil types. The grape is also powdery mildew resistant. The grapes grow on Moraine hillsides a stone's throw from Lake Garda. Here the grapes enjoy ideal exposure and constant breezes that ensure perfect ripeness. The Manzoni Bianco matures fairly late and is fermented for 1 month in new oak barrels and 6 months in older barrels after which the wine matures in stainless steel tanks. After this the wine rests in bottle for another 6 months.
  • About Pratello

    Pratello was founded in 1860 and is located on the southwest side of Lake Garda toward Brescia. Important to the Azienda is the handling of the environment, hence they have been making wines from organically grown grapes since 2004. Total vineyards and olive trees are grown organically. Having followed an organic path, Pratello has created a unique working protocol. Consciously interacting with nature not only by using natural products for the soil and in the cellar but also by respecting the biodiversity of the ecosystem. This is called the 'Pratello Idea'.

    In addition to diversity in the organically grown vineyard and BIO architecture, 'Pratello Idea' stands for: reducing the use of copper in the vineyard, the synergy between animals and plants and lowering the amounts of sulfite used.As owner Vicenzo Bertola himself points out: it was an inescapable choice suggested by our philosophy of life. Pratello produces a beautiful range of wines, focused on grapes typical of the area: rebo, manzoni, gropello and turbiana. Very convincing wines with expression and terroir. Winemaker Emiliano Rossi (Cá dei Frati) is highly regarded and experiments with new winemaking techniques combined with the use of natural yeasts.
