Negretti Barolo Bricco Ambrogio 2014

Barolo Bricco Ambrogio is amaranth red with ruby reflections. It shows a concentrated complexity, diffusing ripe raspberries, woody aromas, bitter orange peel and black peppercorns in the nose. On the palate, it is warm, powerful but able to touch all key points on the palate, sensitive to its thick tannic structure.
  • About the vineyard

Negretti includes 13 hectares of vineyards in La Morra, Monforte d'Alba and Roddi. The wines are made exclusively homegrown grapes. 'Respect for the vineyard' is the motto here. The emphasis at Negretti is on work in and on the vineyards, only 10% is spent in the cellar. Extensive care throughout the year and a 'green harvest' results in extremely low yields, between late June and late July a percentage of excess fruit is cut away. All grapes are hand-picked and carefully handled in small cases. Of course, the unfiltered wines are made and aged in an immaculately clean cellar. The Negretti wines' trophy case shows the international appreciation for their great nebbiolo wines. The Barolo's fall in awards time and time again. Moreover, they are now operating sustainably according to the Green Experience.
