    Typically Spanish and typically graciano, this Lopez de Haro Graciano has a ruby red color with violet hues in the glass. On the nose, it has aromas of violets, licorice combined with spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is full and tasty, with nice freshness and a long finish. The wine is aged for 10 months in barrique.
    The grapes come from vineyards located in the heart of La Rioja, surrounded by the Sierra de Cantabria mountain and the Ebro River to the south. This area has an ancient tradition of winemaking. Lopez de Harocombines extraordinary quality, the true character of the region and a love of wine. The wine is made from 100% Graciano grapes.A selection of 20-year-old vineyards and 70-year-old vines, located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The harvest here is done manually in October. This is followed bymaceration for 2 weeks andcontrolled fermentation at 28oC. After this, the wine matures for another 10 months in oak barrels.

    • About López de Haro

      Located in the historic village of San Vincente de la Sonsierra, Bodega López de Haro rises above a "sea of vineyards" flanked by the Ebro and Sierra de Toloño rivers. The bodega is excavated in its entirety on the side of a mountain. The selection of wines is named after Don Diego López de Haro, founder of the city of Bilbao. Hacienda López de Haro is a series of wines that combines the simplicity and elegance of great classics with current consumer tastes. The terroir in this region is of calcareous clay. This results in a wine with refined freshness and a pleasing length and finish.

      All the wines at Bodega Hacienda López de Haro have something in common: grapes from the best wine regions of the D.O. Rioja, the dedication with which the winemakers work the vineyard and the affection the winemakers devote to the preparation of each wine. From receiving the grapes at the bodega, they work only with gravity for moving the wine. That means no use of pumps, which is better for the grapes and ultimately better for the wine.
