This wine has a complex aroma, full of ripe fruits such as mirabel and apricot. It has characteristic notes from itsaging on lees with flavors like fresh butter and brioche. The wine is full-bodied with a nice freshness in the finish.

The altesse grapes (typical Savoy grape variety) come from a clay-limestone soil with stony rubble slopes from the Alps. The vineyard is located on a sunny hillside facing southeast between Chambéry and Albertville. The wine matures for 6 months on its fine lees to make a soft creamy wine.
