Delaunay La Brossette Touraine Gamay Bio 2020

La Brossette Gamay is ruby red in color. On the nose, it has aromas of fresh red fruit accompanied by chalky mineral notes. The palate is beautifully balanced, with silky tannins, a supple texture and a bomb of fresh fruit.
The wine is made from gamay, derived from flint-clay soils. Domaine de la Brossette's wines are vinified in stainless steel tanks that are perfect for expressing the characters of the sauvignon blanc and gamay grapes, as well as the influence of the terroir where the grapes are planted.
  • About Domaine Joël Delaunay

    Owner Thierry Delaunay, of the Domaine Joël Delaunay in the Touraine region, was and is very interested in the vinification of the sauvignon- blanc grape. An internationally known grape variety that requires a high technical level and meticulousness to preserve its fresh and fruity flavors. The Loire region has the most favorable conditions to bring out the character of the sauvignon blanc.

    Winemaker Thierry Delaunay is known for his completely unique style of winemaking, producing elegant wines with soft acids and a highly developed aroma. For this, he has access to the sauvignon-blanc grape both outdoors and in Touraine, growing on a soil of silicon and lime. When cultivating the vines and making the wine, Thierry does his best to give the wine the expression of the soil as much as possible; so that the freshness of the sauvignon-blanc is fully appreciated. For several years, Thierry has also owned an organic working La Brossette estate.
