This is a very old Madeira wine, classified as "FRASQUEIRA." This wine was part of the wine collection of the family that owns this winery. It was made from a noble grape variety in 1991 in which the quality of the grapes was high and the harvest excellent, with grapes from only the best vines on the island of Madeira. Prior to bottling, it benefited from a long aging period in old oak barrels. This allowed it to develop into a distinctive Madeira wine from the Malvazia grape, with its exceptional character, structure, aroma and full flavor.
It is important to let the wine breathe for a while after it is opened, to develop the fullness of its aromas. If only part of the wine is consumed, the rest can be kept in the bottle for years. Remember to use the extra cork you get with the wine so that it is completely sealed. We recommend storing the bottle upright, away from extreme temperatures. Serve at a temperature of about 18ºC. If the wine is kept in the bottle for many years, a natural sediment may form. This is a sign of life and is part of the natural qualities of this genuine MADEIRA. We recommend that you serve it well so that it does not become cloudy. If desired, the wine can be decanted.
