Cuatro Rayas Vermouth 61 Verdejo

The blend of Verdejo along with the essences of the botanical ingredients give this Vermouth a mahogany color with amber reflections, intense aroma; where aromas of brushwood predominate, such as fennel, elderflower with hints of thyme and rosemary, so characteristic of the Verdejo grape. Balanced mouth with a bitter, pleasant and long finish that leaves balsamic memories in the aroma. 50% of the young wine ages in barriques.
  • About Cuatro Rayas

Cuatro Rayas was founded in 1935. Winemaker Angel Calleja belongs to the first group of winemakers from the "School of Madrid," where he graduated in 1975. He immediately took over the technical department of Cuatro Rayas. Since then, he has continued to grow as a winemaker and the wines have grown with him in quality. Angel Calleja is currently one of the most highly regarded winemakers, not only of the area but nationally. He is a member of the Regulatory Boards of Rueda, Toro and also Cigales.

The vineyards are on typically terraced land with a sandy loam structure, the first 30cm of which are composed of sandy soil. Below this follows a high concentration of clay. The soil is poor in organic matter and very hot due to the high concentration of boulders and sand in the upper layers. Excellent wines with perfect value for money.
