    A selection of wines chosen from a number of different perspectives, in order to form an opinion on the phenomenon of Chardonnay in a broader perspective.

    DOMAINE DE L'ARMET CHARDONNAY IGP PAYS D'OC FRANCE

    Vanilla and butter without wood. Surprisingly employable beautifully balanced "PURE"-i.e. without wood upbringing-fine Chardonnay 'from Claude Serra. Tones of butter and vanilla, fresh pineapple, citrus and acacia honey. To avoid oxidation, night and early morning harvests are followed by gentle pressing, 36 hours of soaking, low-temperature alcoholic fermentation (12-14 °C), no malo and 4 mn lagering on the groin on tank.

    Pouring temperature:10-12 °C.

    WELL OF WINE CHARDONNAY IGP PAYS D'OC LANGUEDOC FRANCE

    Sourced from high altitude (400 meters) vineyards located at the foot of the Cévennes and in the region of Limoux. The relatively cool climate produces elegant fresh fruit-rich wines. 20% of the grapes are fermented in oak barrels for 3 weeks. This is followed by nine months of aging in wood. The remaining wine is fermented at 18-20°C in stainless steel tanks for pure fruit aromas. Pale golden white wine, with elegant mouth-filling flavor and fine aromas of ripe white and yellow fruit, like pear apricot and apple, also some nuttiness; all elegantly supported by a touch of wood.

    Pouring temperature:10-12 °C.

    Serve with:Excellent wine for the aperitif. At the table it pairs well with shellfish, seafood, poultry, pasta, and ripe, creamy white cheeses.

    Best Chardonnay of Spain 2020 and one of the 10 best in the world. De Grote Hamersma - 8.5. Family Conesa provides this true surprise in tropical packaging. Perfectly ripe grapes from old vines are fermented on stainless steel tank for 8-10 days, then they apply weekly batonnage (stirring) for 3 months. Result: a vigorous wine with plenty of mouth filling and wonderful aromatic balance. Coming from organic vineyards at 1100m. altitude from the still unknown area of Pago Guioso in Castilla la Mancha , on the border of a natural reserve: Parque natural de las Lagunas de Ruidera. Aromatic, mouth-filling and silky with fresh beginnings and creamy finishes. Tropical fruits like pineapple mango as well as fresh apple. And also vegan.

    CHARDONNAY ST. MICHAEL EPPAN ALTO ADIGE ITALY

    Characteristic Alto Adige : juicy clean and pure as a mountain stream ( Hubrecht Duiker ) and as elegant as a ballet dancer ( Cathy ). Winemaker Hans Terzer has been making wine at this cooperative for 40 years and has contributed to making Eppan the most awarded wine house of Alto Adige. For all his pioneering work and, of course, for his wines, Hans Terzer was recently honored by the leading magazine der Feinschmecker with a Life Time Achievement Award. Greenish-yellow in color. Inviting aroma of ripe apple melon and banana. Juicy tasty elegant and digestible with nice length.

    MACON-CHAINTRE DOMINIQUE CORNIN MACONNAIS BURGUNDY FRANCE

    Sophisticated civilized white Burgundy from organic vineyards around the village of Chaintré on clay & limestone soils with alluvial pebbles. Tied up according to the Guyot method; vinification and aging on temperature controlled rv tanks for 10 mnd, followed by light filtration. Juicy intriguing and charming; hand-picked chardonnay from 35-50 year old vines; nose of white flowers fresh fruit and citrus zest. Mouth-fillingly elegant and a treat for even the most discerning Burgundy lover.

    MEHOFER CHARDONNAY BEERENAUSLESE BIO WAGRAM AUSTRIA 12%

    Sweet and harmonious: Chardonnay Beerenauslese has aromas of ripe green and yellow fruits, apple, pear and quince in the nose and on the palate. In the nose clear honey notes and a hint of clove. Elegant on the palate with a nice balance of sugars and acidity

    The Mehofer family has integrated organic working into their way of life. They have been making wine from organically grown grapes since 1992 and are currently experimenting with PIWI grape varieties, crosses between, for example, grüner veltliner and an American variety, which is resistant to fungal diseases.
