Nicola and Alberto Benvenuti represent the new generation of winemakers. Passionate, humble and very talented, they have been the crowned kings of Istria/Croatia for several years now. Both their dry and sweet white as well as the special red wine have been voted the best in the country. Working sustainably, with family traditions paramount, the Benvenuti brothers choose indigenous grape varieties such as Malvasia and Teran. The microclimate on the terraced high-altitude vineyards near Kaldir/Motovun in inland Istria, combined with the white soil, ensures mineral expression and preserves freshness and aroma. They are digestible wines with special freshness and minerality. Malvasia is considered the leading white grape of Istria and one of the most important Croatian grape varieties.
