Pratello Garda Rosso NSA - No Sulphite Added Bio 2020

Pratello NSA has a rugged red color, with violet reflections in the glass. The wine has a medium-body and a core that feels slightly sweet. The wine is soft but intense, the red fruit is big and moderately ripe, with nuances of cherry, plum and spiciness of black pepper. On the palate the taste is pleasant, wrapped up in complex and unexpected floral and fruit, where cherries and raspberries stand out. On the palate, the wine is broad and enveloping, with flavors of plums and strawberries delivering freshness, bringing out the warmth of the Rebo grape.
The grapes come from the moraine hills near Lake Garda, where they enjoy ideal lighting and constant ventilation that ensures perfect ripeness. It is an area countered by a unique microclimate influenced by Italy's largest lake. A piece of land that is kissed by 3000 hours of sunshine a year with morning and evening breezes, which refreshes and maintains the balance between the natural elements and gives the unique character of this beautiful sub-Mediterranean climate. A land made to teach mankind to enjoy the beautiful things in life. After malolactic fermentation for 20 days, the wine matures for 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

  • About Pratello

    Founded in 1860, Pratello is located on the southwest side of Lake Garda toward Brescia. Important to the Azienda is the handling of the environment, hence they have been making wines from organically grown grapes since 2004. Total vineyards and olive trees are grown organically. Having followed an organic path, Pratello has created a unique working protocol. Consciously interacting with nature, not only by using natural products for the soil and in the cellar but also by respecting the biodiversity of the ecosystem. This is called the 'Pratello Idea'.

    In addition to diversity in the organically grown vineyard and BIO architecture, 'Pratello Idea' stands for: reducing the use of copper in the vineyard, the synergy between animals and plants and lowering the amounts of sulfite used.As owner Vicenzo Bertola himself points out: it was an inescapable choice suggested by our philosophy of life. Pratello produces a beautiful range of wines, focused on grapes typical of the area: rebo, manzoni, gropello and turbiana. Very convincing wines with expression and terroir. Winemaker Emiliano Rossi (Cá dei Frati) is highly regarded and experiments with new winemaking techniques combined with the use of natural yeasts.
