About Benvenuti

The story of the Benvenuti winery is a story of family, tradition and terroir. The vineyard is located in the quiet village of Kaldir in Istria, overlooking the nearby idyllic village of Motovun, growing three grape varieties: malvasia istriana, teran and muscat.

Nicola and Alberto Benvenuti represent the new generation of winemakers. Passionate, humble and very talented. Family values and tradition are the common thread of Benvenuti wines. The grape variety combined with the reflection of the terroir, located in different specific locations. The terraces on which the vineyards are located, the microclimate and the soil, consisting of calcareous clay, give the grapes character that translates into very mineral, fresh wines that fully express the characteristics of the grapes. These characteristics are reflected in all the wines, from basic to mature malvasias, fresh and harmonious teran's to intense and pleasantly sweet wines. The wines have a high gastronomic content and are considered the best wines from Croatia.
