Description
Pinot noir is one of the oldest cultivated vines. It requires meticulous attention and is quite demanding on both soil and basement areas. Pinot Nero Riserva is aged for at least two years in the cellar and is therefore an elegant wine that is not afraid of comparison at an international level. The wine is ruby red in color. On the nose it has a fruity aroma reminiscent of cherries and red berries. On the palate it is complex, elegant and full of flavor. Ideal to combine with roast beef, game poultry, rabbit or roast goose. The wine also goes well with hard cheeses.

At an altitude of 350 to 550m on the hills between Appiano, Pinzon and Caldaro, the grapes grow, oriented to the southeast and southwest. The terroir consists of moraine rubble and limestone gravel. Manual harvesting of the Pinot Nero takes place from mid-September to the beginning of October. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by approximately 12 months of development in barrique tonneau with malolactic fermentation. After assembly, further maturation takes place in oak barrels.
