Description
Gemischter Satz describes a very traditional style of Austrian wine. Eight different grape varieties, carefully selected, harvested together and straight in the bottle. The result is a very individual, balanced and complex wine, derived from different stages of sugars and acidity of the grapes during the harvest. It shows a lot of ripe yellow fruit combined with floral hints. Youthful freshness with lots of fruit and flair. Have fun while you enjoy!
Grape varieties: Muscat Ottonell, Sylvaner, Neuburger, Traminer, Gelber Muskateller, Frühroter Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc.
The Mehofer vineyards are the northernmost tip of the Wagram region, which stretches from the Danube to the wine estate, which lies just northwest of Vienna. The geological features of the region in combination with consistent weather and climatic patterns form the basis for full-bodied wines, rich in aroma and flavor. Loess layers formed in the Ice Age cover the substrate of marine deposits and river gravel. This results in spicy wines with substance and drinking pleasure, even in a fairly low-alcohol classic style.
