XECO is a vibrant new sherry brand that aims to present sherry in a modern way, beautiful wines that were already loved by the English in the 13th century. XECO, like all sherries, is made within the so-called 'Sherry Triangle' in Jerez in southern Spain. Nowhere else in the world is this special wine style made with its unique system of 'criaderas' and 'soleras'. The wine is unaged, the sherries are consistent year after year and pair beautifully with food.
XECO is the brainchild of three ladies in their thirties who have long shared a love of sherry - and had a frustration that this love was not shared by other friends. In 2016, they wanted to create a new brand of sherry, in order to turn an age-old product into a contemporary wine. To do this, they teamed up with a beautiful Spanish sherry house that has been producing sherry wines since 1876. So, while the name may be new, the wines have a long history.
