Owner Thierry Delaunay, of the Domaine Joël Delaunay in the Touraine region, was and is very interested in the vinification of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. An internationally renowned grape variety that requires a high technical level and meticulousness to preserve the fresh and fruity flavors. The Loire region has the most favorable conditions to bring out the character of the sauvignon blanc.
Winemaker Thierry Delaunay is known for his very own style of winemaking and produces elegant wines with soft acids and a highly developed aroma. He has access to the Sauvignon-blanc grape both outdoors and in Touraine, growing on a soil of silicon and lime. When cultivating the vines and making the wine, Thierry does his best to give the wine the expression of the soil; so that the freshness of the sauvignon blanc comes into its own. Thierry has also owned a biologically working domain for several years now.
